OxiClean® with blue crystals

Why did you change the formula?
We’re always looking to enhance our products to better serve our customers and we saw this as an opportunity for OxiClean to work even better on more types of stains such as greasy stains, grass, and more. Patent pending technology now helps the active Oxygen target surfaces and stains.

What stains does it work better on?
The New Formulation works better on the following specific stains (and more):

  • Grass
  • Mustard
  • Spaghetti Sauce
  • Foundation (Makeup)
  • Soy Sauce
  • Salad Dressing
  • Other greasy/oily based-stains

Why does the new Oxi have a smell?
The new formula contains additional stain fighting ingredients, which have a naturally occurring fragrance.

Why does it suds more?
The new formula contains additional stain fighting ingredients that cause suds to form.

What purpose do the suds have?
The stain fighting ingredients that form suds in water will help remove even more stains like grass and grease.

Can I still use it on my clothes, carpets, laundry etc?
New OxiClean can be used on all the same surfaces and stains as Original OxiClean (and more!).

With a different formula, should I use less/more?
In general, only small changes have been made to the usage directions. Please read the label directions for specific changes.

What temperature water do I mix it with?
OxiClean works better and quicker in warmer water. Remember: the hotter the water, the better. However, please read and follow clothing, carpet, or surface manufacturer’s care instructions for apropriate water temperature. If the surface calls for cool water, mix the solution, as usual, in hot water, then allow solution to cool to the apropriate temperature.

Should I use less in my front-loading machine?
This formulation could add to your suds level, so let the suds level be your guide. If this formula is creating more suds in your front-loading machine, you will need to reduce the amount being used. Follow your machine manufacturer’s guidelines.

Will the blue crystals dye my clothes/ carpet etc?
No. The blue crystals are water-soluble and will not create stains or dye clothes & carpet.

Is it safe to use in septic systems?
Yes.

How long is the solution active once mixed?
The solution is active for 6 hours once mixed. Dispose of unused solution in a drain, disposal or toilet.

My washer instructions recommend that any laundry additive be placed in the bleach dispenser. Can I add OxiClean crystals this way?
Not in the crystal form. Dissolve 1 scoop of crystals in warm to hot water, then add the solution to the dispenser.

OxiClean® Multi-Purpose Stain Remover

What is OxiClean?
OxiClean is a Multi-Purpose Stain Remover in a powder form, that is activated when added to warm or hot water. Oxygen is released, that targets the stains, rather than fabrics, removing many tough stains on clothing, carpet, and other water washable surfaces.

Is OxiClean safe for the environment?
OxiClean is readily degradable in the environment. When it is through with a job, it breaks down into water, oxygen, and soda ash. OxiClean mixes with ordinary water and uses the tremendous cleaning power of oxygen to remove stains. There are no toxic fumes. OxiClean will do no harm to our lakes and streams. Like all cleaning products, however, it is not to be ingested.

Can I store OxiClean in a sealed container once I have diluted it with water?
NO. OxiClean solution cleans with the power of oxygen, which is released as it works. After mixing, always keep the mixed OxiClean solution in an open container or a container that has a small opening in it (like the OxiClean mixing bottle). Sealed containers will leak or expand, sometimes causing the container to burst. Discard extra solution in drain or toilet after use. OxiClean powder (unmixed crystals) should be kept sealed and in a dry location.

How long will OxiClean continue working after I mix it with water?
As with OxiClean with blue crystals, the cleaning strength of OxiClean will remain active for 6 hours after mixing. Dispose of unused solution after 6 hours by pouring into a drain or toilet.

Will OxiClean fade my colored clothing?
OxiClean is color safe. However, not all clothing is colorfast. OxiClean is much safer for colored fabrics than other laundry additives like chlorine bleach. Always remember to test for colorfastness in an inconsipcuous area before using the product. Remember, white actually contains all colors and thus should be tested for colorfastness the same as other colors. Think about what happens when white light passes through a prism...it is broken into the colors of the rainbow. For best safety, add all powders to water before adding fabrics.

What does OxiClean work best on?
OxiClean works wonders for organic stains like wine, juice, coffee, food, pet messes and more.

Is OxiClean safe to use in my septic tank?
Yes it is safe.

How do I use OxiClean in my laundry?
Use one scoop per load in an automatic washing machine or up to four scoops more for extra tough stains. OxiClean should be added to the washing machine with the detergent (prior to adding clothes) when filling with hot or warm water. If washing in cold water, dissolve the OxiClean crystals first in about 16 oz. of hot tap water and then add to machine.

My washer instructions recommend that any laundry additive be placed in the bleach dispenser. Can I add OxiClean crystals this way?
Not in the crystal form. Dissolve 1 scoop of crystals in warm to hot water, then add the solution to the dispenser.
